North East UK Mosh (RIP)
* Formed in 2001, we've recorded 2 albums and done about 200 - 300 gigs. We've bought and binned a big white van and we've had four "K" in kerrang twice. We like fucking massive riffs.
* We've opened shows for such luminaries as Lost Prophets, Skindred, Biffy Clyro, Enter Shikari, My Ruin, Capdown, boysetsfire, Oceansize, Exit Ten, Three Inches of Blood, Walls of Jericho and Fozzy!
* Originally signed to Revolver Records we recorded our debut album with Harvey Birrel (therapy?, fugazi, rabies caste).
* We left Revolver and signed to Hangmans Joke to record a second album, which gained national acclaim and put the band on the critics "Top Tips" lists alongside the likes of Enter Shikari and Gallows..

Catching Elephant is a theme by Andy Taylor
We weren’t even going to bother announcing this (because we’ve been here before you know) but we’ve called it a day. No more Exit By Name now.
Thanks to everyone who has been nice, enjoyed our music and came to see us play a gig. It’s been really really good fun. We had a fucking fantastic 8 years, split for a year, then got back together for a fun year of gigs and beers. The highlight was The Crypt Stage at Middlesbrough Music Live last year.
GOOD NEWS though. We’ve compiled an album’s worth of stuff we found lurking in the EBN archives. Some rare tracks, some live bits and some early demo’s of tracks from the album.
You can have it FREE – visit www.exitbyname.co.uk for the link. Full Track Listing and sleeve notes below.
Thanks again x

DEAD HEARTS - previously unreleased
A CURSE – we like this demo, it’s a bit faster and looser than the final album version
A UNITED STATE – b side to Death Race Demo. Warning – it’s a bit poppy.
BONES & DUST – this was from a set of tracks we recorded live, before doing them “proper” for the album. Pretty raw.
GAVE HIM VOICE – not the album version, but the demo we did with Andy Broady. Starring Dave Briggs on vocals.
HOW THE DEAD DANCE – previously unreleased. Craig friend and local breakdancing legend came in a did some live scratching over the riff. Very Linkin Park! Craig (drums) sings the chorus!
LAST – Andy Broady at Oblivion studies did a fantastic job on these early sessions. This track and his mix of Stunt Car sound way better than the final albums versions on “The Disillusion…”
MOUNTAIN – Epic ballad with phil playing a piano(!), came out the same Andy Broady session.
SPLIT & UNDONE – recorded live at the Georgian Theatre, our spiritual home, the 1st song of the set and the only one worth putting out here. We were very very drunk…
STUNT CAR – everyone’s favourite EBN song . We dropped it from the set years and years ago. It’s about being addicted to porn.
TAKE IT BACK – long long ago, probably in a room in Stockton, some mic’s were in a room and this got recorded, just.
THANKS TO Andy Broady, Nathan Stephenson, Dave Briggs, Kev Ellison, Harvey Birrell and everyone else who has suffered our noise in a confined space for a day.
